Alyson Williams
The vocalist Alyson Williams was born as the daughter of the bandleader and trumpeter Bobby Booker and started her career in music by singing background vocals for various artists, among them Curtis Hairston, Bobby Brown and Barbara Mitchell. She also sang with the outfits High Fashion and The Affair, but decided to pursue a solo career in the mid-eighties. Her debut solo single “Yes We Can Can” saw release 1987. The full-length offering “Raw” followed in the year 1989. In 2004 her album issue “It’s About Time” hit the shelves.
