Ben Harper
With a style that encompasses a barrel-full of influences, Ben Harper is shaping up to be the Prince of Folk-Blues. Traces of Woody Guthrie, Taj Mahal and Neil Young can all be heard in Harper's music, but to his credit each tune comes out as his own. He still needs to learn to exchange the sloganeering for proper lyrics, but he's growing with every release.
