The Portuguese vocalist/actress Dulce Pontes started her career in music when she won a local music contest back in the year 1988. She went on to play in a number of theatre productions and television shows and won the 1991 Song Festival of Portugal with her song “Lusitana Paixao” – which led to her representing her home country at that year’s Eurovision Song Contest. Her debut album “Lusitana” saw release in 1992, “Lágrimas” followed one year later. In 1995 she issued the double-CD live recording “Dulce Pontes Em Concerto – A Brisa Do Coracao”.
