Interpol
Pop/punk band Interpol was formed in 1998 in New York, NY by guitarist/vocalist Daniel Kessler and drummer Greg Drudy. The two soon recruited bassist/keyboardist Carlos Dengler and guitarist Paul Banks. During a period of playing in New York clubs, drummer Drudy left the group and was replaced by Sam Fogarino. In the early 00’s several of the band’s tracks were included in the compilations “Clooney Tunes” (Fierce Panda) and “Fukd I.D.” (Chemikal Underground). Signing to the Matador label, they issued their debut LP “Turn on the Bright Lights” in 2002, followed by “Antics” in 2004.
