Jason Donovan
Long before there was 'NSync or the Backstreet Boys, there was Jason Donovan. Donovan's role in the Aussie soap Neighbors elevated him to heartthrob status in his native Australia and Britain, where the soap is prime time television fodder. Following in Kylie Minogue's (a fellow Neighbors actor-turned-singer) footsteps, Donovan signed on with British production gurus, Stock Aitken & Waterman, the team responsible for a string of Dance Pop hits in the late 1980s and early '90s. Unfortunately, Jason Donovan's career only lasted for one album, although there are currently two Greatest Hits packages available for diehard fans.
