Blasted Mechanism
Valdjiu and Karkov founded Blasted Mechanism in 1995. The group from Portugal fuses music styles from around the world, for example Arabic, Asian, Australian, and African influences. Their debut EP was "Balayashi" in 1996. In 1999 the band released their debut album, “Plasma”, which is considered by critics to be one of the most original albums to come out of Portugal in the last years. After making "Namaste" 2003, their album “Avatara” in 2005 went to number one on the Portuguese sales charts and brought them onto the international scene.
