Love

Music > Love
California cult band Love may easily be called a classic case of could-have-been’s. Like the Byrds or the Doors, Love sprung from the nascent L.A. club and studio circuit of the mid 60’s. Strangely, their charismatic leader Arthur Lee refused to tour. Like the Doors, Love were signed to Elektra Records in 1966. Production duties for their essential first three albums ("Love", "Da Capo" and "Forever Changes") were assumed by the legendary Paul Rothchild, who helped to shape their musical vision in much the same way he did for the Doors (or as Tom Wilson did for the Byrds).
